About the Amman Marathon

Amman Marathon is Run Jordan’s full-distance capital-city event, staged alongside shorter road races. It brings a large local field onto central roads while highlighting the city’s historic core.

Course

The urban marathon uses central Amman roads around the downtown and Roman Theatre area. Long grades, frequent direction changes, and warming conditions make the course more demanding than a flat elevation summary would suggest.

Race-day weather

Expect cool mornings with temperatures ranging from 50-59°F (10-15°C) and warm afternoons reaching 77-86°F (25-30°C) in October. Anticipate occasional light rain showers at the start of the rainy season, along with moderate humidity.
