About Garmin Coach

Garmin Coach costs nothing beyond the watch you already own. Named-coach plans from Jeff Galloway, Greg McMillan, and Amy Parkerson-Mitchell cover 5K to half marathon, and the adaptive Run Coach plans extend to the marathon. Workouts respond to performance, recovery, sleep, and training load, so a good night's sleep can bring a harder session the next day. Everything stays inside Garmin Connect, though: no coach to message, and no plan without one of their watches.

  • Plans adapt each day based on performance, recovery, and health metrics such as sleep, VO2 max, lactate threshold, and training load.
  • Marathon training runs through Garmin's adaptive Run Coach plans; the named-coach programs top out at the half marathon.
  • The price is the watch: the plans themselves cost nothing.
