About the XinWu Half Marathon
The half marathon is the longest separately timed division within Xinwu's Fish and Rice Country running event. It trades a conventional city loop for agricultural roads, coastal sights and local Hakka landmarks.
Course
The 21K starts at the Taoyuan Agricultural Expo site and runs through farmland, wind-turbine areas, the Xinwu coast, a Hakka fishing harbor and green corridors. The exposed mix of rural and coastal roads comes with a three-and-a-half-hour limit.
Race-day weather
Early October can still be warm and humid in Taoyuan. The early start limits some heat, but open farmland and coastal sections leave runners exposed to sun, wind and passing rain.
