Quick facts

- Three-hour course limit.
- Separate half-marathon finish on Nanjing East Road; plan to use public transit afterward.
- Urban road course with a bridge ramp and long straight sections.
About the Taipei Half Marathon
The half is the larger mass-participation distance within Taipei Marathon weekend and uses a lottery for general entry. A separate start and finish keep it distinct from the full marathon despite sharing the opening city streets.
Course
From Taipei City Hall Plaza, the route heads west on Renai Road through central Taipei, loops through Zhongshan, and then turns east via Beian, Minshui, Lequn, and Tiding. It crosses MacArthur No. 1 Bridge before finishing on Nanjing East Road. Long urban straights and bridge ramps favor even pacing, while the separate finish requires a post-race transit plan.
Race-day weather
Late December usually offers Taipei's best running weather, with mild-to-cool temperatures compared with most of the year. Humidity, light rain, and a damp breeze are still possible, so conditions can feel cooler while waiting and warmer once racing.
