About the XCelsior Marathon
STAR Racing gives the Valley Cottage race its own XCelsior name within a two-day New Jersey and New York challenge. Marathoners may enter this event alone or pair it with the prior day's Zip Code 07662 Marathon.
Course
The full uses eight complete laps of Rockland Lake plus a measured out-and-back segment. Paved, flat terrain supports even pacing, and a finish-line aid station reappears on every circuit.
Race-day weather
Early June in the lower Hudson Valley can range from cool and damp to warm and humid. Repeated lakeside exposure means sun, breeze and rising afternoon temperatures may all influence pacing.
