About the Whitefish Trail Blazer 50K
Whitefish Legacy Partners runs the Trail Blazer as a fundraiser for the Whitefish Trail, with the 50K headlining Saturday and a half marathon, 10K, 5K, and family run following on Sunday from the Whitefish Legacy Center. Entry money goes directly into building and maintaining the trail system the race uses.
Course
The 50K covers roughly 31 miles of single and double track, climbing to the summit of Big Mountain before descending along the Whitefish Trail toward the Reservoir trailhead. Expect around 6,300 feet of gain, technical ascents, steep descents, and views toward Glacier National Park and Flathead Lake on clear days.
