About the Gazley Volkswagen Wellington Marathon
Established in 1986, Wellington's winter running festival brings full marathon, half marathon, 10K, and children's fields to a common stadium base.
Course
Marathoners complete two laps of the half-marathon route from Hnry Stadium through the CBD, Oriental Parade, Evans Bay, and Miramar. A stadium ramp is the only hill.
Race-day weather
Late June is cool and often windy, with rain or bright winter sun possible. Harbor exposure can make conditions feel colder than the modest temperature suggests.
