Ultra Trail Whistler by UTMB 100K

Ultra Trail Whistler's 100K makes a complete tour of both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. The course leaves Creekside Plaza before dawn, crosses the linked ski terrain, and finishes in Whistler at Spruce Grove Park. It is a high-commitment mountain race with long climbs, technical descents, and a full day on trail.

The 100-kilometer route carries about 5,100 meters of elevation gain. Runners climb Whistler Mountain to the Roundhouse, descend toward the valley, then tackle Blackcomb before the final run into Spruce Grove Park. Ski-area singletrack, forest trails, exposed alpine sections, and sustained descending reward strong climbing legs and careful pacing.

August can be warm in Whistler Village, but conditions change quickly higher on the mountains. Expect a cool pre-dawn start, stronger wind and lower temperatures in exposed alpine terrain, and the possibility of rain. Layers, sun protection, and a plan for large temperature swings are important.
