Quick facts
- Two-day Lackawaxen race weekend with the marathon anchored on Saturday.
- Small-field road marathon built around Boston-qualifier goals rather than big-race spectacle.
- Official site lists marathon course certification number PA21001NP.
- The race is known for fast times, but late-March cold, wind, and wet roads can still matter.
Course
The official site is lighter on route narrative than on certification and race-day logistics, but it is explicit about the marathon's Boston-qualifier positioning. Expect a certified road course aimed at fast running rather than sightseeing, with the marathon tied to the Saturday schedule and results archive.
Race-day weather
Late March in northeastern Pennsylvania can mean a cold start, wind, or wet pavement. This is the kind of race where layers and patience early matter more than heat management.
