The marathon is the headline race in Tallinn's large September running weekend. Its start and finish at the foot of Toompea put the full-distance field close to the Old Town and the event centre at Freedom Square.
Course
Runners complete one 42.195-kilometre loop on city streets and lightly trafficked roads, starting and finishing on Falgi Road beneath Pikk Hermann. Aid stations arrive roughly every three to five kilometres, and the organizer sets a six-hour limit.
