About the Superior 100 Mile
The Superior 100 is the flagship distance of the Superior Fall Trail Race. Lottery entry, a qualifying standard and its point-to-point trail make it one of the Midwest's most established mountain-style 100s.
Course
The route travels point to point on the Superior Hiking Trail from Gooseberry State Park to Lutsen. Repeated climbs, rock, roots and remote aid make the terrain slower than its elevation suggests.
Race-day weather
Lake Superior can bring cold rain, wind or unexpectedly warm September conditions. Overnight trail temperatures may fall sharply, and wet rock makes the technical route more demanding.
