About the Silverton Alpine Marathon
This Colorado trail marathon is the middle distance at Aravaipa's Silverton Alpine weekend. It is slightly longer than a standard marathon and defined by mountain travel, not road-race qualification.
Course
About 26.7 miles of Alpine Loop jeep road pass ghost mining settlements and climb toward California Pass. Thin air, long grades, rough footing and vehicle dust all add to the high-country challenge.
