Course
Flat coastal roads out and back from The Hangout on East Beach Boulevard, with Gulf views and very little elevation change. The exposure is the challenge rather than the terrain, since there is almost no shade and the wind comes straight off the water.
Race-day weather
Mid February on the Alabama coast is mild, usually 45 to 65 degrees, but humidity can be high even in winter. A steady onshore breeze is normal and matters most on the return leg.
