Course
Rotterdam is built like a fast road marathon, with long sections that let you settle into rhythm and a finish on Coolsingel that feels big even by major-city standards. The opening miles can feel busy, so patience early usually pays off.
Race-day weather
Rotterdam often gives runners cool spring temperatures, which suit marathon pace well. The bigger variable is wind, especially if the day turns breezy across the more open parts of the course.
