Quick facts
- Point-to-point route from Rome's EUR district to the Ostia coast.
- Fast overall profile with one recognized mid-course climb.
- A 3:30 limit keeps the race open to a wide range of runners.
- Open entry is available for the next announced edition.
Course
The route follows Via Cristoforo Colombo from EUR toward Ostia. It is fast overall, but the well-known Camping climb interrupts the rhythm before a final descent rewards controlled pacing. The finish near the coast leaves runners exposed to whatever wind is moving inland from the sea.
Race-day weather
Late February often brings cool, race-friendly air, but conditions can shift between damp, breezy weather and bright sun. A coastal headwind is the main pacing threat, especially after the course opens up on the way to Ostia.
About the RomaOstia Half Marathon
One of Italy's oldest and largest standalone halves, RomaOstia links Rome's EUR district with the coast. The point-to-point format and strong front end attract fast runners, while a 3:30 limit keeps the event accessible to a broader field.
