About the PSD Bank Halbmarathon Hamburg

This Hamburg half is centered in Wandsbek, with the event area around the Quarree shopping center and easy U-Bahn access at Wandsbek Markt. The measured loop supports ranking-list performances and keeps start, finish, bag storage and post-race services in one compact district setup. Pacers target finish times from 1:30 through 2:15.

Course

Start and finish are on Wandsbeker Marktstrasse in front of the Quarree. The 21.0975-kilometer loop is measured to German athletics and AIMS standards. Aid and water are placed around kilometers 5, 10, 15 and 17.5, with gels available at the later stations. The finish closes three hours after the start, so runners near that limit should plan around the final aid stops rather than treating them as long breaks.

Race-day weather

September in Hamburg can range from cool, crisp running weather to mild and damp conditions. Rain and a breeze are both plausible, while warmer afternoons make the late miles less forgiving.
