About the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon
Launched as a standalone race in 2023, the Brooklyn Experience has quickly become one of the largest half marathons in the country. Its route is built around neighborhood character and bridge views rather than duplicating the older Coney Island race.
Course
The USATF-certified point-to-point course starts in Williamsburg and Greenpoint, then follows the East River beneath the Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn bridges. Fulton Street and Flatbush Avenue lead to a Prospect Park finish.
Race-day weather
Late April is usually cool to mild, but waterfront wind and spring sun can change how the early miles feel. Dress for a variable start and save strength for the approach to Prospect Park.
