About the MISH Waterfront Marathon
MISH is a compact Upper Peninsula race built around Little Bay de Noc rather than a downtown grid. The start and finish at Terrace Bay Hotel simplify logistics, and the certified full gives regional runners a BQ option.
Course
A non-motorized shoreline path carries runners north from Terrace Bay Hotel past Van Cleve Park and onto a scenic boardwalk before the return through Gladstone. Seven aid stations are spaced about every 2 miles along the USATF-certified course.
Race-day weather
Early June near Lake Michigan can begin cool and calm, then turn breezy as the shoreline opens up. Rain is possible, and the lake can hold temperatures down even when inland sections warm.
