About the Mercer County Half Marathon
The cutoff defines this race. Three hours means about 13:44 per mile with no grace, which is stricter than most half marathons and filters the field accordingly. It has run since 2019 out of Robbinsville Township, despite the county name, and recent editions have finished around 300 to 350 runners.
Course
A USATF certified loop on mostly flat country roads through Mercer County farmland, passing the historic Robbin's House. Roads stay open to traffic with police and flaggers at intersections, so runners share the surface. Beast Pacing fields groups from 1:40 through 3:00, which is useful given the cutoff.
Race-day weather
Early September in central New Jersey is often humid at an 8 a.m. start, with temperatures climbing through the morning. Open farmland means sun exposure for most of the route and very little wind protection.
