About the Mekong Delta Cross Country Marathon
After six seasons as Mekong Delta Marathon, the race moved into a cross-country format and a new Cần Thơ setting. The current identity replaces the old Vị Thanh location rather than extending it unchanged.
Course
The 42 km route explores rural cross-country terrain around fields, waterways, villages and Khmer-influenced landscapes. Natural surface and changing conditions separate it from the former road-marathon format.
Race-day weather
July in the Mekong Delta is hot, very humid and within the rainy season. Heavy showers, saturated ground and heat stress can all influence pacing and trail conditions.
