About the Lausanne Marathon
Lausanne Marathon is a lakeside Swiss road race with a full marathon and several shorter distances. The marathonâs long out-and-back format gives runners sustained views across Lake Geneva but also repeated exposure to its rolling shoreline.
Course
The marathon runs from Lausanne toward La Tour-de-Peilz and returns along Lake Geneva. Long gradual grades, turns through lakeside communities, and potential wind off the water make the course slower than a flat elevation summary implies.
Race-day weather
Lausanne Marathon race-day temperatures usually fall near 48-58°F (9-14°C) with moderate humidity in October. There is a chance of light rain, so runners should be prepared for cool, potentially damp conditions.
