About the Kochi Ryoma Marathon
Named for Sakamoto Ryoma, the race gives a large field a broad tour of Kochi Prefecture. A seven-hour limit and strong roadside support widen its appeal.
Course
From the prefectural office, runners pass Harimaya Bridge, climb Urado Bridge, approach Katsurahama, and follow the Niyodo River before finishing inside GIKEN Stadium.
Race-day weather
February is usually cool, but coastal wind and direct sun can shape the exposed middle miles. The bridge climb arrives before the long flatter return.
