- Technical ridgelines and long alpine sections define the effort
- UTMB World Series event with strong international demand
Course
The 169K route gains about 9,000 meters through alpine pasture, rocky singletrack, long ridgelines, and sustained climbs around the Kitzbuhel Alps. Expect a technical mountain-ultra profile rather than a runnable road-style course.
Race-day weather
Early August in the Tyrol mountains can bring warm valley starts, cool nights, and fast weather changes above treeline. Carry layers for rain, wind, and nighttime temperature drops.
