About the Innsbrook Half Marathon
Run entirely inside the gates of Innsbrook Resort about an hour west of St. Louis, this is a small-field autumn half with a hard entry cap and a course most runners only see on race day. The organizers hold the field to 500 and release runners in waves of roughly 100 to 120, which keeps the narrow resort roads from bunching up. A 10K shares the start.
Course
One loop on a mix of pavement and smooth gravel resort roads, crossing five dams and passing more than 100 private lakes. The hills are constant rather than dramatic, so the climbing adds up faster than the profile suggests and even pacing is hard to hold. Start and finish are at Charrette Creek Commons.
Race-day weather
Late October in eastern Missouri usually means a cold start in the 40s warming into the 50s or low 60s by the finish. Fog off the lakes is common early. Peak fall color is part of the draw.
