German 100K Road Championships

The German Ultramarathon Association stages its national 100K road championship with the German Athletics Association and a local Berlin organizing team. Championship eligibility follows federation rules, while an open 100K gives other qualified ultrarunners access to the same course.

The race runs repeated five-kilometer laps through Landschaftspark Wartenberger Feldmark, starting and finishing at Stadion Wartenberg. The flat, measured circuit favors even splits and efficient aid-station routines, with a 13-hour finish limit.

Mid-September in Berlin often starts cool and turns mild by afternoon. A long day on an exposed park circuit can still bring sun, wind, or passing rain, so runners need a plan that works beyond the opening hours.
