Course
The marathon follows challenging Ridge to Rivers trail above Boise. Sustained foothill climbing, exposed traverses and uneven surface reward patient pacing before the day warms.

June in Boise can start cool and dry before sun raises temperatures quickly on exposed hillsides. Wind and low humidity make regular drinking important even without heavy sweat.
