About the Cypress Half Marathon
All Community Events runs this race inside its Run Houston series and fall challenge, and it has become the Cypress area's main half. The November date is the practical draw for Texas runners, landing after the worst Gulf Coast heat and lining up as a tune-up for winter marathons like Houston.
Course
The certified course starts on Woods Spillane Boulevard in Cypress and runs suburban roads through the Cy-Fair area. Terrain is mostly flat, as is typical around Houston, so the limiter is usually humidity and pacing rather than hills. A 3 hour 30 minute limit keeps the course open for run-walkers.
Race-day weather
Early November near Houston can range from crisp to muggy. Starts in the 50s are common, but a warm, humid morning is a real possibility, so plan fluids as if the day might still feel like summer.
