About the Boring Marathon
The volunteer-driven event leans into Boring's memorable name, and its sibling distances carry their own puns. The marathon remains the full-length centerpiece of the weekend.
Course
The certified road route travels through the Boring and Gresham area on a community-scale course. Rolling local roads and open stretches reward steady effort more than crowd-driven surges.
Race-day weather
September near Portland can be cool and clear, rainy or unexpectedly hot. Morning layers may be unnecessary by the finish, while smoke should be monitored during wildfire season.
