About the AthHalf Half Marathon
AthHalf is the annual fundraiser for AthFest Educates, the nonprofit behind Athens' music and arts education grants, and the race leans into the town's music identity with live acts along the course. Course
From downtown Athens the route climbs and rolls through the Boulevard, Normaltown, and Cobbham neighborhoods, passes the Greek houses and Five Points, then crosses the UGA campus to finish with a lap around the hedges inside Sanford Stadium. The hills are constant enough that even pacing beats chasing early splits.
Race-day weather
Mid October in north Georgia usually brings cool starts and mild finishes. Humidity is fading by this point in the fall, so the hills are a bigger factor than the heat.
