About the Allgäu Panorama Marathon
The marathon is the classic-distance mountain race within a multi-distance Allgäu weekend. Its capped field and alpine setting create a more intimate experience than a major road marathon.
Course
The route gains roughly 1,500 meters as it moves from Sonthofen onto mountain paths and high meadows. Long climbs, technical descents, and changing surfaces demand trail strength.
Race-day weather
August can produce warm valleys, cool ridges, thunderstorms, or wet footing in one day. Mandatory layers and conservative early effort are sensible in the Alps.
