adidas Stockholm Half Marathon

This is one of Scandinavia's largest standalone halves, with more than two decades of history and a mass field that often fills well before race day. Its late-afternoon start changes the usual half-marathon routine and makes fueling and temperature management part of the decision.

The city route starts on Strömbron and finishes nearby on Norrbro after running through Norrmalm, Vasastan, Kungsholmen, Gamla Stan and Södermalm. Gradual rises, short steeper climbs and quick descents make it runnable rather than truly flat.

Late August can be mild, cool or rainy, and the afternoon start raises the chance of warmer sun than a typical early-morning half. Waterfront wind may matter along the island sections.
