About the 3-Sjøersløpet Half Marathon

3-Sjøersløpet is a long-running Stavanger half marathon organized by GTI Friidrettsklubb. Its November slot makes it a season-ending target for Norwegian runners, and the event has published results for every completed edition back to 2006.

Course

The route links Mosvatnet, Stokkavatnet and Hålandsvatnet from the Stavanger Forum area. It mixes paved roads and recreation paths, with enough rolling terrain and turns around the lakes to reward controlled pacing rather than an aggressive opening split.

Race-day weather

Early November in Stavanger is cool, damp and changeable. Rain and wind are common, and wet paths can make the lake sections feel slower even when temperatures are comfortable for racing.
