About the Witiker Backyard Ultra
Witiker Backyard Ultra runs from the Witikon side of Zürich on a single 6.706 km forest-road circuit. A new yard begins every hour, and the event continues until one runner completes a final loop alone.
Unlike races that switch to a flatter night course, Witiker keeps the same climbing and footing around the clock. The compact sports-ground base provides tent space, toilets, showers and charging access, while the repeated elevation makes efficient pacing unusually important.

The 6.706 km yard stays on maintained forest roads and gains about 130 metres. The same marked loop is used day and night, so runners carry the full climbing load through every hour of the race.
