About the ASICS Waterfront Half Marathon

The Auckland Half Marathon Series finishes on Tamaki Drive with a large waterfront race built around a fast road effort. The out-and-back brings the city skyline into view while music and frequent split timing keep runners and supporters connected.

Course

The recent course runs from St Heliers past Kohimarama, Mission Bay and Okahu Bay to downtown Auckland, then returns along the waterfront. Queens Wharf, the Ferry Building and a boatshed detour add turns to an otherwise flat road course. Detailed routing for the next edition may change.

Race-day weather

Autumn often brings mild conditions, though rain and waterfront wind remain possible. Open sections can make the outbound and return legs feel different even on a flat course; judge effort with that exposure in mind.
