About the Vietnam Highlands Trail by UTMB LangBiang 100K
LangBiang 100K is a point-to-point highland race built around the mountains and forests surrounding Da Lat. From Lam Vien Square, runners cross three major summits and wild sections of Bidoup-Nui Ba National Park before reaching Tuyen Lam Lake. The route combines a city-center departure with a remote, technical middle and a lakeside finish.
Course
The 104.2-kilometer course gains about 5,533 meters. It crosses Langbiang, Elephant, and Pinhatt peaks, then enters technical jungle terrain in Bidoup-Nui Ba National Park. Ridgelines, steep forest climbs, and long descents dominate the journey from Lam Vien Square to the finish at Tuyen Lam Lake.
Race-day weather
Da Lat's elevation gives it cooler conditions than Vietnam's lowlands, and January falls near the start of the drier season. Pre-dawn hours, exposed ridges, and high forest can still feel cold, while daytime sun may raise temperatures. Runners should carry layers and remain prepared for damp jungle trail.
