About the Venus Women's Half Marathon

Venus is a women-only road event with the half marathon as its longest distance. The 21.1-kilometer field starts first, ahead of the shorter races, and uses pace corrals plus pacers targeting finishes from 1:50 through 2:30. The event arena sits inside Parque do Povo, with the race start and finish on the adjacent Marginal Pinheiros express lanes.

Course

The 21.1-kilometer course is flat and certified, using the traffic-free express lanes of Marginal Pinheiros in front of Parque do Povo. Half-marathon runners start ahead of the 5K, 10K and 15K fields, which helps preserve the distance's own pacing flow. The 3:30 limit is generous, but the broad exposed road can feel warmer than the early gun time suggests once the sun is up.

Race-day weather

Late November in São Paulo is warm and humid, with showers or thunderstorms possible as the morning develops. The early start helps, but hydration and heat-adjusted pacing still matter.
