About the Ultra-Trail Shudao by UTMB DSD 100K
The longest race at Ultra-Trail Shudao links the old Shu Roads between Jiange and Zhaohua. Its UTMB World Series position brings an international structure to a course built around northern Sichuan's historic transport corridor, and the late-evening start sends much of the field onto the trails after dark.
Course
The 104 km route starts at the Jiange Tourist Center and moves toward Zhaohua through steep changes in terrain. Mossy flagstone roads, bamboo forest trails, the ancient cypress corridor, and the climb to Daping Mountain give the race a very different rhythm from a modern purpose-built trail. The course gains about 3,800 metres and allows 26 hours.
