About the Ring Running Series Marathon
The Hockenheimring becomes a running circuit for the Ring Running Series. Its marathon suits runners who prefer predictable surfaces and repeated landmarks to a changing city route. Parking close to the start and finish simplifies the day.
Course
A short approach from the East Curve leads into nine laps of the Grand Prix circuit. The flat asphalt route passes the Motodrome, hairpin and South Curve before finishing on the Formula 1 finish line. Long straights reward even pacing, while repeated bends interrupt the rhythm.
Race-day weather
Late autumn in the Rhine plain can be cold, damp and foggy. The exposed circuit offers little protection from wind, so bring warm layers for the wait before the start.
