About the PJ Half Marathon
PJ Half Marathon traces its roots to the mid-1980s and is one of Malaysia's longest-running road events. The 21K remains a scored centerpiece even as the program has expanded to include a 30K, 10K and 5K, with a projected field of about 10,000 across the morning.
Course
The half starts from Laman MBPJ before dawn and gives runners four hours to complete 21 km. Petaling Jaya's urban roads and flyovers make the route more varied than a flat park loop, while the early gun reduces direct sun for much of the field.
Race-day weather
Petaling Jaya is warm and humid year-round. The pre-dawn start helps with sun exposure, but runners should expect heavy moisture, limited overnight cooling and a steady hydration demand.
