About the Mizuno Amsterdam Half Marathon
The Mizuno Half Marathon brings a large afternoon field into TCS Amsterdam Marathon weekend. It offers the scale and finish-line theater of the city's Platinum Label marathon without requiring the full distance, and entries regularly reach capacity.
Course
The half starts on Stadionweg, crosses the Utrechtse Bridge over the Amstel, and runs through Watergraafsmeer and Zeeburg before joining the marathon route. The final lap into the Olympic Stadium is the payoff. Six waves and a three-hour limit shape the pacing plan.
Race-day weather
Mid-October is often cool, but rain and wind can make the bridges and open roads feel raw. The afternoon start reduces morning chill while increasing the chance of changing conditions during the race.
