Among the world's oldest continuously staged half-marathon traditions, Lima's race has both heritage and mass appeal. The point-to-point journey from the historic center gives runners a distinctive city narrative rather than a repeated circuit.

The certified road course begins at the Plaza de Armas and finishes at the Circuito Mágico del Agua. Central avenues keep the profile broadly runnable, while intersections, dense packs, and gradual city grades require attention.

Lima's coastal winter is usually cool, humid, and overcast, with drizzle possible and little heat stress. Damp air and slick road paint can still matter even when temperatures feel ideal.
