About the Juneau Marathon
Juneau's community marathon begins at Sandy Beach on Douglas Island. A modest field, local volunteers, and dramatic scenery define the race more than crowd size.
Course
The certified out-and-back follows Douglas Highway at low elevation. Rolling grades accumulate, while open views across Gastineau Channel and toward glaciers fill the route.
