About the JFK 50 Mile
First held in 1963, the point-to-point JFK 50 is a fast, historic fall ultra organized by the Cumberland Valley Athletic Club.
Course
After an opening road climb, runners cover about 13 miles of rocky Appalachian Trail, 26.3 flat towpath miles, then 8.4 rolling road miles to Williamsport.
Race-day weather
Late November can bring frost, cold rain, wind, or mild sunshine. Canal miles feel exposed, while wet leaves and rocks increase trail risk.
