Course
From Saylor Park in Blacklick, the route follows the Ghost Town Trail out and back on a smooth rail-trail grade. The outbound half climbs almost imperceptibly, which sets up a slight downhill for the entire return. Expect a calm, tree-lined corridor with aid stations rather than crowds.
Race-day weather
Early November mornings in western Pennsylvania often start near freezing and warm into the 40s or low 50s. Rain and wet leaves are realistic, and heat almost never is. Gloves and a throwaway layer usually beat overdressing.
