About the HCMC Marathon
HCMC Marathon is a long-running central-city race with full, half, and shorter road distances. The marathon’s pre-dawn schedule is built around Saigon’s tropical conditions.
Course
The current marathon starts and finishes at 30/4 Park on Le Duan. Broad central roads help the field spread, but turns, humidity, and rising temperatures still shape the second half.
Race-day weather
Mid-January in Ho Chi Minh City remains warm and humid, even around the pre-dawn start. Temperatures rise after sunrise, so early restraint and steady hydration matter throughout the marathon.
