Hengshui Lake International Marathon

Hengshui's marathon is an established Chinese road race with the full distance at the center of its identity. Broad roads and a lakeside setting give it a more open feel than a dense downtown course, while the large event structure brings a serious field.

The marathon uses paved roads through Hengshui and around the lake district. Its character is flat and open, with long sections that reward relaxed cadence. Lakeside exposure means wind can matter more than elevation, especially once the field spreads out.

Late September is often mild to warm. Lake exposure can add humidity or a breeze, and clear skies can make the later miles warmer than the start suggests.
