About the Funchal Marathon
Funchal Marathon is Madeira’s winter road-running event, with marathon, half-marathon, and shorter races in the island capital. The full distance combines repeated coastal laps with a later section through central Funchal.
Course
The marathon starts on Rua do Gorgulho and completes repeated out-and-back laps along Estrada Monumental and Avenida do Infante. It then moves through central Funchal before finishing near the Casa da Luz area.
