About the ET Full Moon Marathon
This Rachel race leans fully into its UFO setting while requiring serious night-running preparation. The marathon is separately timed from a 51K, half, 10K and 5K on the same overnight program.
Course
A true out-and-back follows the Extraterrestrial Highway from Rachel. Runners need a headlamp or handheld light and a reflective vest, while open-range animals and road awareness remain important.
Race-day weather
Night temperatures are cooler than Las Vegas but the high desert can still be dry, windy and variable. Clear skies, altitude and hours of darkness call for layers and reliable lighting.
