About the Desert Ultra
Desert Ultra is the Namibian race in Beyond the Ultimate's global expedition series. A small field carries food and required survival gear between overnight camps while the organizer supplies water and safety support. The location is intentionally remote, so the public race identity is responsible at country level rather than tied to a nearby city.
Course
Five stages cover 250 km through sand dunes, dry riverbeds, scrubland, and rock around the Namib and Brandberg landscapes. Runners carry their own food and equipment while checkpoints provide water. Stage lengths vary, but every finisher completes the same fixed total over successive days.
