About the Chihuahua by UTMB Rarámuri 100M

Chihuahua by UTMB's longest race explores Copper Canyon country and the living culture of its Rarámuri communities. The 100M awards four Running Stones and direct access for leading finishers to the UTMB World Series Finals.

Course

The point-to-point route starts in Cerocahui and runs deep into the Copper Canyons through Urique, Churo and Guitayvo. Remote, demanding trails accumulate 6,700 metres of ascent across 135 kilometres before the 32-hour limit.

Race-day weather

Early October can bring warm canyon-floor temperatures, strong sun and much cooler air after dark or on higher ground. The evening start makes temperature swings and overnight layering central to race planning.
